Pensacola Iconoclists Supported by Florida Judges - Again

A sad day as Florida iconoclasts win again! We were disappointed to hear that after 2+ years the appeals court has finally ruled. Despite public opinion in favor of protecting our history, and the facts and the law, a 3 judge panel has shot down the lawsuit filed by the Ladies Memorial Association and others to restore the War Memorial in Lee Square in Pensacola, Florida.
Guardians took a particular interest in this case because this Memorial was in a National Register Historic District and because the City of Pensacola is one of Florida's oldest communities before it was removed in October 2020.
We do hope the plaintiffs will continue to pursue this effort and we will support their efforts in evey way possible.
One thing every concerned citizen can do is contact their elected Florida State Representatives and State Senators and ask them to fix this problem.
